Please join us September 1, 2017 @ The Big Rock Pub in Indio, CA. for the The Goldy McJohn ‘Legends and Locals’ Tribute Concert & Benefit. This concert was originally designed to be the first of Goldy McJohn (Steppenwolf) ‘Legends & Locals’ concerts, and was to be a fundraiser to place a Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame for legendary drummer, Alvin Taylor. Sadly on August 1st we lost Goldy, and this concert, in full agreement of all participating, will now also stand as a tribute as well as a fundraiser. This concert will feature the amazing talents of Alvin Taylor (performed with Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix, Sir Elton John, George Harrison, Eric Burdon, Sly & the Family Stone, to name a few), Harold Brown (Founding Member of War), Greg Douglass (Guitarist for Steve Miller Band), Carmine Rojas (Performed with David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton to name a few), Jeff Paris (performed / produced / recorded with Keb Mo, Dan Fogelberg, Frankie Valli, Cinderella, Y&T, Lita Ford, Vixen, and many more.) This is a once in a lifetime gathering of brilliant musicians joining forces to celebrate the life and career of Goldy McJohn, and the lifetime achievements Alvin Taylor, who’s star is long overdue !
